I invite you to get yourself a clean exercise book for this course, which we’ll call your Self Inquiry Journal, which you can use for all your writing exercises. We start out this course looking at the concept of the self – through some very insightful quotes from twentieth century writer and biographer, Virginia Woolf. Then I invite you to reflect on the ideas you absorbed about yourself and your life path from three foundational pillars in our early life – society (or a religion if you were brought up religious), our school, and our parents or guardians.
I strongly suggest you get yourself a clean journal for this course – or make a section available in your current journal is you are a regular journal – ist! I find that when we bring things into the physical, putting pen to paper, or rubber to the road to use the more auto-bahn analogy, then we usually deepen our learning through the physical act of writing things down. Putting pen to paper is in itself a great way to channel your higher self. It’s a great way to download those thoughts that may be just floating up around in your mind somewhere, circling like flies. In order to catch them before they fly out the window, write them down!
I welcome all constructive feedback on your experience taking this course!
